The wartime farm series was a real inspiration to us on how we would like to run the smallholding, and a great piece of television to watch.
Tamar Grow Local (TGL) is a ‘not for profit’ Community Interest Company (CIC) set up on co-operative principles for the benefit of the community promoting sustainable local produce in the Tamar Valley.
DASH was established in 1986 to serve the needs and interests of smallholders and those planning to undertake any kind of country living.

The tractor we have bought  to use on the farm is the very well known little Ferguson TED 20, the little grey tractor that was developed in the 1940's and introduced the 3 point linkage which is still used today on modern tractors.

Members of FENA are owners, collectors, restorers and enthusiasts of Ferguson as embodied in the Ferguson-Brown, the Ford-Ferguson (9N and 2N), the TE/TEA-20 series, the TO-20/30, the TO/FE/MF-35 and the F-40 tractors and implements bearing the Ferguson name.

The Friends of Ferguson Heritage Ltd. exists to encourage and assist enthusiasts in their interest in the engineering achievements of the late Harry Ferguson. The club made a healthy start, and has grown rapidly since the first magazine was published (issue one was for Spring/Summer 1994), and the excellent magazine (pictured right) is now received three times a year by members. The internet came too late for Harry Ferguson, otherwise he would, no doubt, have made good use of it.

The Tavy & Tamar Apple Group is based on the Bere Peninsula in West Devon and is mainly concerned with orchards on the Peninsula, formerly a prolific area for fruit production in the last century.
