Pictures of Harry working
Harry after picking up a large load of coal from the nearby farm, at the end of this run he developed a horrendous misfire which needed to be addressed asap.
this led to a full carburettor re-build. |
New (old) bits acquired for Harry, left is an original early (with the rear seam) tool box, top is some rare original bonnet louvres, an original pto guard, and three spare zenith carburettors.
After all the work re-building the carburettor and cylinder head, Harry was still refusing to run without cutting out, so an ignition service kit was also ordered.
After much tweaking, head scratching, help asking, more tweaking, a smattering of cursing, more tweaking and more help, Harry once more lives! the final tweak to get him to run was replacing the spark-less plugs!
After tweaking the mixture a little ect, i took Harry for a little drive around, and tidied a few piles of earth and hardcore to try him out again.
The youngest get reunited with Harry again after his long absence due to ill health.
Unfortunately while i was working clearing rubble from the old garage with harry he sunk in the earth right up to the front axles, the heavy rain and flooding this winter is causing havoc everywhere i should have known better.
Harry made it!
